POSITION OVERVIEW

Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC) is seeking an Administrator to support its new FJC/RootOne Camp Israel Trip Incubator (CITI) program. CITI will incubate ten FJC camps as they create their own camp Israel trips. The Incubator program is scheduled to launch prior to Summer 2025. The Administrator will be responsible for providing logistical and administrative support for all aspects of the CITI program including camp recruitment, managing application process, handling all logistics for several “in-person” trips/conferences

This is 4-year grant-funded position and is contingent upon the continued availability of grant funding. Employment is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the grant agreement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as main contact for the Incubator program regarding all administrative matters, including communication with camp applicants, participating camps, faculty, and vendors  
  • Provide administrative support for the hiring of faculty for Incubator learning sessions, including contracts, payments, and general communication.
  • Assist in the creation of materials that support recruitment, marketing, application, and admission to the Incubator program. 
  • Oversee all logistics related to in-person gatherings: lodging, venue, food, transportation, entertainment, registration, and communication with all participants, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate travel for camp visits and as needed. 
  • Support the dispersal of monies FJC sends to camps and coordination of progress reports that camps are required to submit.
  • Provide additional administrative support, as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with colleagues, vendors, partners, and stakeholders. 
  • Skilled writer, ideally with experience writing copy for promotional materials, handbooks, and/or websites.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a busy workload efficiently.  
  • Effective skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.  
  • Ability to carefully review work for accuracy and consistency.
  • Flexibility to handle changing priorities and situations.  

CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Comfortable with learning new software programs as needed.  
  • Previous experience in Jewish camping and/or Israel travel are a plus.
